Description: Returns the inverse hyperbolic tangent of a number. The inverse hyperbolic tangent is the value whose hyperbolic tangent is Number, so ATANH(TANH(Number)) equals Number.
Syntax: ATANH(Number)
Number is any real number between 1 and -1.
When used in a RENO flowchart, Number must evaluate to a numerical value. It can include:
Numerical values
Standard operands (+, -, *, /)
Predefined mathematical functions (exp, log, sin, etc.)
References to any analysis workbooks
Example:
ATANH(-0.1) = -0.10034 [the inverse hyperbolic tangent of -0.1]
