Synthesis Enterprise Portal

If your organization implements a Synthesis Enterprise Portal (SEP) website for an enterprise database, the entire team – including managers and colleagues who don't have ReliaSoft desktop applications installed – can access key analysis and project management details from any web-enabled device.

SEP Home

The personalized home page provides an intuitive, at-a-glance overview of the information you’re tracking via SEP, such as actions, recent messages, reports, metrics and more. You can choose which panels are displayed in your own home page, and also change the order. (See Customizing the SEP Home Page.)

Actions and Portal Messages

You can use SEP to create, view and edit the same actions and portal messages that are visible to you from the desktop applications. The website also allows colleagues who don't use the desktop applications to stay up-to-date on assignments and team communication. (See Messages and Actions in SEP.)

Project Summary, Analysis Summaries and Project Plan

For each analysis project that you have permission to view, SEP provides a web summary that includes metrics, assigned actions, attachments and other project details. The website also displays summaries, plots and reports for selected analyses published to SEP from Weibull++/ALTA, BlockSim/RENO, RGA and Lambda Predict.

If your team is using the Project Planner in desktop applications, SEP shows a streamlined view of the plan that users can access via the web and also update their progress for assigned actions. (See Projects in SEP.)

System Hierarchies and FMEAs

SEP enables users throughout your organization to view FMEAs, queries and reports that were created in XFMEA, RCM++ or RBI. This provides managers and others throughout your organization with convenient web-based access to the wealth of lessons learned and troubleshooting recommendations from your investment in these analyses.

Version 2018 offers many new and enhanced features that make SEP more useful than ever for FMEA users. This includes a new web summary of key statistics and charts from any FMEA, access to your own custom queries and the ability for managers to approve change log versions from any web-enabled device. Dashboards and Reports

SEP can display a wide variety of graphical dashboards and customized reports based on analysis data from desktop applications. The "Watch" feature makes it easy to manage the specific dashboards and reports you want to be able to access quickly. (See Dashboards and Reports in SEP.)

Metrics (Key Performance Indicators)

SEP shows all of the KPIs (metric resources) that have been created in desktop applications for the projects you have permission to view – no publishing required. The web display provides quick visual indicators to help you monitor performance and support decision making.

SEP and XFRACAS

ReliaSoft XFRACAS by HBM Prenscia is a highly configurable web-based failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS) with integrated capabilities for part tracking, root cause analysis and team-based problem resolution.

If your organization implements both websites for the same enterprise repository, SEP can include links to the XFRACAS reports, charts, actions and incidents of particular interest to each user. (See SEP and XFRACAS.)
