In all Synthesis desktop applications except MPC, the Import Wizard and Export Wizard provide convenient access to many of the import/export tools that are relevant for the application you are currently using. To access one of the wizards, choose Project > Management > Import/Export.

The options displayed in the wizard will depend on a) which application you are using, b) whether you are importing or exporting and c) whether a project is currently open.
Projects – this option appears in all import/export wizards, and it is always enabled.
Items – this option appears for applications that use a current project explorer. If a project is not currently open, it will be disabled.
Resources - this option appears for all desktop applications except MPC. If a project is not currently open, it will be disabled.
Other file – this option appears when applicable in Weibull++/ALTA, RGA and BlockSim/RENO . Depending on the application, you may be able to:
Import from a file that was created in a prior version of the software.
Import from an Excel spreadsheet or delimited text file into a data folio.
Use XML files to import/export system configuration and item properties in BlockSim or Lambda Predict.
Items (Browse) and Items (Query) – these options appear only in Xfmea/RCM++/RBI. If a project is not currently open, they will be disabled.
