The FMEA Hierarchy page of Xfmea/RCM++/RBI's Application Setup allows you to specify your personal display preferences for the FMEA hierarchy view. These settings are stored per computer/username, and different users may have different display preferences without affecting the stored data.
For descriptions of the available columns, refer to the FMEA Hierarchy View topic.
The table contains the same options that are also available when you right-click inside any column header in the FMEA hierarchy and choose Customize Columns.
To choose which columns to display, use the check boxes.
To change the column order, use the arrow buttons to move the selected field up or down in the list. You can also drag/drop a field into the desired position.
To restore the default settings for all hierarchies in the current application, you can click the Reset Application Form Settings or Reset All Settings buttons on the Reset Settings page of the Application Setup.
Obtain XFRACAS Failures Observed Occurrences from allows you to choose where failures imported from XFRACAS come from. In XFRACAS, failure modes can be specified for incidents, problems and/or failure analyses, depending on the settings implemented by the system administrator. Therefore, it is necessary to specify which of these locations should be considered when counting the occurrences of failure mode/cause combinations.
If you choose Incidents, the Observed Occurrences column in the FMEA hierarchy will display the number of incidents with each failure mode/cause combination.
If you choose Problems, the column will display the number of problems with each failure mode/cause combination multiplied by the number of incidents associated with each problem.
If you choose Failure Analyses, the column will display the number of failure analyses with each failure mode/cause combination.
Expand hierarchy to this level by default allows you to choose whether to display all hierarchy levels or limit the default view to function, failure, effect or cause levels.
Default View allows you to choose from the hierarchical or worksheet view.
Nodes allow you to hide the Reliability Policy node in the FMEA Hierarchy View. This node can be used to define the reliability characteristics of the failure causes for use in criticality analysis and/or the FMRA. Note that you can still work with the reliability policy by using the FMRA tab of the Ribbon.
