The System Hierarchy tab contains commands related to working in the System Hierarchy panel.
Import BOM allows you to import system configuration data from an external "bill of materials" (BOM) data file.
Add Top Level Item allows you to add a system or assembly that will be analyzed using one prediction standard. Note that the prediction standards that are not included in your license are available in demo mode only. For information about upgrading your license to use a particular standard, please contact ReliaSoft. (To view the contact information in Lambda Predict, choose File > Help, and then select the Contact ReliaSoft USA link.)
Add Next Level Item and Add Same Level Item allow you to add blocks or components in the next level under a selected item or to the same level as the selected item.
Block adds a generic block that can be used to group components and/or other blocks into any type of assembly.
Component/Block opens the Select a Component window, which displays a list of all the components and blocks that apply to the prediction standard you are working with.
Import from PartLibraries.org allows you to search for and import components from the web-based PartLibraries.org database. This library provides free access to the integrated circuit (IC) component definitions published in MIL-M-38510, the electronic component failure rates published in EPRD-97 (Electronic Parts Reliability Data) and the mechanical, electrical and electromechanical component failure rates published in NPRD-95 (Nonelectronic Parts Reliability Data). In addition, if you want access to more than 300,000 commercial components with reliability prediction parameters predefined based on the published manufacturer spec sheets, you can purchase a yearly subscription that offers unlimited access to the full parts data library. (See Import from PartLibraries.org.)
Import Local Components allows you import any component saved in the current folio, current database, another database or custom library file. (See Import Local Components.)
Import from PartLibraries.org allows you to import component data from PartLibraries.org. (See Import from PartLibraries.org.)
Update Branch allows you to automatically update the physical and general properties of all sub-items of a standard item or block based on data from PartLibraries.org. This will overwrite any existing data in those fields and cannot be undone.
Update Item allows you to automatically update the physical and general properties of a selected component based on data from PartLibraries.org. This will overwrite any existing data in those fields and cannot be undone.
Add to Library is available only if both the Name and Part Number properties of a selected component are defined. It allows you to add the selected component to a custom library file. (See Using Custom Library Files.)
Manage Library opens the Manage Library window, which allows you to add or edit custom library files.
Import Local Components allows you to import components from a library file. (See Importing Local Components.)

Clear removes the status flag from the selected record.
In Progress displays a yellow flag for the selected record.
Complete displays a green flag for the selected record.
Incomplete displays a red flag for the selected record.
Attachments allows you to manage the linked or attached files for the selected item.
Highlight uses red, green and yellow colors to highlight automatically the failure rate of the components based on their contributions to the overall failure rate of their parent system/assembly.
Suspend Auto Calculate allows you to turn off the failure rate calculations that Lambda Predict performs every time you make a change in the analysis data. This is useful when working in very large predictions where every change requires you to wait several seconds or minutes for the application to recalculate all values. When you are finished updating the data, turn calculations back on to re-calculate the failure rates and associated contributions.
