In MPC, the task types defined for the database must be consistent with the task selection logic specified in the MSG-3 guidelines. This means that it is not possible to add or delete task types, nor can the names be changed. However, because there is some variability among MSG-3 practitioners regarding the abbreviations used, the software does provide the option to modify the abbreviations, if desired.
To define the task type abbreviations, choose File > Manage Repository > Task Types.
(In a secure database, this is available only to users with the "Manage other repository settings" permission.)
To edit a task type abbreviation, click inside the cell and edit the text.
To change the order in which the task types are displayed in drop-down lists, select a row and click the Move Up or Move Down icon to move the task type into the desired position.
