You can place more than one data sheet on a plot by using an overlay plot. To add an overlay plot to a project, choose Insert > Reports and Plots > Overlay Plot.
When you add a new, blank overlay plot to a project, you must first select the responses in the Select Folio Response(s) window and select which analyzed responses from any design, free form, multiple linear regression or one-way ANOVA folio in the project that you want to include. Many of the functions in an overlay plot are similar to those in a standard plot.
What’s Changed? In previous versions of the software, overlay plots were known as MultiPlots.
Many plot types are available in the overlay plots. These plot types can include the plots available for design folios, except for those that are intended to only be viewed as singular plots (i.e., the comparison chart, Pareto chart, interaction matrix, term effect plot, cube plot, residual histogram, residual autocorrelation plot and Box-Cox transformation plot).
Note that the subset of plots available in the overlay plot will be limited by the type(s) of design selected for inclusion in the plot. If a plot type is unavailable for any of the included design types, it will be unavailable in the overlay plot. In addition, in the case of reliability designs, the distributions used in analysis must be the same in order for probability plots to be available. For these reasons, it is possible for the selected data sheets to not have any common plot types.
