The Print window allows you to specify the printer and the printing options. Note the following:
In Xfmea/RCM++/RBI and Lambda Predict, when printing Pareto (bar) charts or matrix charts, it is recommended that you set the orientation of the printed page to landscape. When the orientation is set to portrait, the chart may appear stretched.
When printing pie charts with the orientation set to portrait, the pie details, legend and user information may be cut off on the printed page because the chart is too wide to fit the page. If this occurs, change the orientation to landscape or remove the details and/or the legend/user information from the plot via the Plot Setup window.
Printing diagrams in BlockSim and RENO uses special settings. For more information, see Printing Diagrams in BlockSim and RENO.
When printing data sheets, spreadsheets/workbooks or plot, the following options are available:
Printer
Name allows you to select which printer you want to send the item to. Once you select a printer, the window information will automatically be updated to reflect the corresponding information about the selected printer.
Select Print to File to specify a file name and extension for the printed item, which will then be printed to the file instead of being sent to the specified printer.
Click Properties to open the printer’s Windows Page Setup window, which allows you to set the printing properties for the selected printer.
The Orientation area displays how the item will be printed on the page. The orientation can also be specified in the Windows Page Setup window, accessed by clicking Properties.
The Copies area allows you to specify the number of copies of the item you want to print.
Collate collates sheets sent to the printer if more than one copy was printed. If not selected, the printer will print multiple copies of each sheet in their original print order.
Click Preview to open the Print Preview window, which allows you to preview the pages before sending to the printer. Please note that closing the Print Preview window will return you to the current data sheet or spreadsheet’s window, not the Print window.
If a data sheet or a spreadsheet/workbook is in focus, the Print window will include additional options.
Page Range
Select All Pages to print all pages.
Select From __ To __ to print only the specified page range. For example, if an item is 10 pages long and you enter From "5" To "10", only the last 5 pages will be printed.
Print What
Select Active Sheet to print only the currently active sheet.
Select Entire Book to print all the sheets in the spreadsheet/workbook.
Select Selection to print only the selected cell range in the currently active sheet. To select a cell range, place the cursor in the cell that you want to be the uppermost left cell of the range. While holding down the left mouse button, drag the cursor to the cell that you want to be the lowermost right cell of the range. When you release the mouse, the selected cells will be highlighted with a black background. It is this selected range that will be displayed on the printed page.
If printing a diagram in BlockSim or RENO, the following options are available:
Diagrams to Print
Choose whether to print only the Current diagram or Choose Multiple diagrams from the current project. If you will only print the current diagram, you can select the Include Subdiagrams option to print subdiagrams on separate pages.
Options
Select Print Grid to print the grid with the diagram.
Select Print Background Color to print the background color with the diagram.
If you choose to print only the current diagram, click OK.
If you choose to print multiple diagrams, click Next. A list of available diagrams will be displayed; choose which diagrams to print, then click OK.
