Description: Returns the cumulative or instantaneous failure intensity for a given time.
Field Format: [FI(Source Number)(Time;Cumulative;Conf_Level)]
Source Number is the associated data source number.
Time is the time at which the value is calculated.
Cumulative allows you to select whether to calculate the cumulative or instantaneous failure intensity.
Conf_Level is the percentage (entered as a decimal value) for the confidence bounds. It is an optional value and, if specified, must be greater than 0 and less than 1.
Remarks:
The Source Number must be either 1,2,3 or 4.
The Time value must be greater than 0.
Cumulative is shown in the function as a numerical value that indicates the selected calculation; for cumulative failure intensity = 1; for instantaneous failure intensity = 0.
Example:
[FI(1)(100;0;0.9)]
Returns:
0.0117159326
Note that this value will vary depending on the source data set.
