Functional Failure Analysis Records

Effects

To add an effect to the Functional Failure Analysis, choose F-F-E-C > Effect > Add Effect.

To insert a new effect above the selected effect, choose F-F-E-C > Effect > Insert Effect.

To edit an existing effect in the functional failure analysis, use the properties window. To open the properties window, select the effect and choose F-F-E-C > Effect > Edit Effect or double-click the effect in the hierarchy or filtered view.

In addition to the options and fields common to all record properties windows, the specific effect properties (in the Effect area at the top of the list) are as follows:

Tip: For any properties window, blue text indicates that you can edit the field, italic gray text indicate that the information is automatically populated by the software. When you click inside any editable text field, the Select Existing icon   displays a list of the unique text descriptions that have already been entered for this field.
