System Point Results

The System Point Results worksheet in the Simulation Results Explorer displays a table of the point reliability and availability results for the system, including all system downing events that occurred up to the specified points in time.

Note: For phase diagrams, this worksheet is available only when you have selected Overall from the Phase drop-down list in the Ribbon.

• Time: The time for each corresponding point availability and reliability value. The points are determined based on the interval specified in the Point Results Every field in the Maintainability/Availability Simulation window. The number of points is determined by dividing the simulation time according to that increment, up to the end time you specified in the window.

• A(t): The point availability of the system. This is displayed as a decimal.

• R(t): The point reliability of the system. This is computed based on the first system failure and is displayed as a decimal.

• (1-A(t))%: The point unavailability of the system. This is displayed as a percentage.

• (1-R(t))%: The point unreliability of the system. This is displayed as a percentage.

• Labor Cost(t): The cost associated with crews at the corresponding system time. This is based on the direct cost per unit time and cost per incident, as specified in the Crew window.

• Part Cost(t): The cost associated with spare parts at the corresponding system time. This is based on the direct cost per item as specified in the Spare Part Pool window, as well as any indirect costs (e.g., holding costs, costs associated with restocking, etc.).

• Cost(t): The cost at the corresponding system time, based on the miscellaneous costs and costs for spare parts and crews.

• Mean A(t): The mean availability of the system up to the corresponding time.

• Mean A(t[i] - t[i-1]): The mean point availability of the system during the most recent interval (i.e., the interval between the last specified time and the current specified time).

• System Failures(t): The number of system failures that occurred by the corresponding system time.

• System Off Events by Trigger(t): The number of events where the system is turned off by state change triggers that occurred by the corresponding time. An OFF event is not a system failure but it may be included in system reliability calculations.

• Throughput(t): The number of units that were processed/produced by the system by the corresponding system time. This will be calculated only if you selected to run a throughput simulation and selected to report throughput point results on the Analysis Settings page of the diagram control panel.
