Synchronizing Actions

When an action is first added to a gate, its start and due dates are equal to the gate. However, subsequent changes in the DFR planner can cause an action's dates to fall out of sync.

When this happens, you can use the Synchronize Action to DFR Timeline window to automatically change the date of an action to match that of the gate it was added to (or vice versa). To open the window, select an action in the DFR planner and choose DFR > Action > Synchronize Action.

Depending on the properties of the selected action, the following options may be available:

The Change action start date to match gate option shifts the start date of the action so that it matches the start date of the gate. The action's duration will not change.
The Prolong gate to match action due date option increases the gate's duration so that the gate's due date matches that of the action. The gate's start date will not change. Note that changes in the gate's due date may effect the dates of other gates. (See DFR Planner Logic.)
