The Settings page of MPC's Application Setup allows you set your preferences for working in MPC.
Session Settings
If you do not want to see the Current Session Working Group Stamp window each time you open a database, clear the Show working group stamp window upon connecting to a repository check box. To view/modify this stamp at any time, choose Home > Working Group > Current Session Stamp.
Select the Flag parts with "yes" answer(s) for MSI questions option to display a visual indicator in the System Hierarchy for aircraft systems and powerplant analysis of the parts have answered "Yes" to any of the MSI selection questions.
Select the Include associated Tasks when pasting functions, failures, causes check box to include the associated tasks when you copy and paste records in the F-F-E-C tab for an aircraft systems and powerplant analysis.
If you clear the Show tasks in the F-F-E-C Hierarchy check box, the task records from an aircraft systems and powerplant analysis will be visible only in the Task Selection window. If you select the check box, the tasks will be visible in both the Task Selection window and directly in the F-F-E-C hierarchy.
The number that you have selected from the Default Task Group number drop-down list will be selected by default each time you create a new maintenance task record (for systems and powerplant analysis, structural analysis and/or zonal-L/HIRF analysis). You can change this default number at any time by editing the task properties.
MSI/SSI Number Format
Use the options in this area to specify how MSI and SSI numbers will be displayed in reports. Select either the Use condensed format (e.g., 262100) option or the Use extended format (e.g., 262021) option.
Each time you open a project, the hierarchies in the project window will be expanded or collapsed by default to the level you specify here. You can then click the +/- icons or the Expand Tree/Collapse Tree commands to adjust the display as needed while you are working on the analysis.
Default Expand/Collapse for System Panel Hierarchies: For the System Panel hierarchies (i.e., System Hierarchy, Structural Hierarchy or Zonal-L/HIRF Hierarchy):
Select Top Level if you want the hierarchy to be fully collapsed by default so it shows only the top level items (Systems, Structures or Major Zones).
Select Next Level if you want the hierarchy to show only the top two levels by default (Systems/Subsystems, Structures/Substructures or Major Zones/Major Sub-Zones).
Select Expand All if you want the hierarchy to be fully expanded by default to it shows all hierarchy items.
Default Expand/Collapse for F-F-E-C Hierarchy: For the F-F-E-C Hierarchy in an aircraft systems and powerplant analysis:
Select Function, Failure or Effect if you want the hierarchy to be collapsed by default to one of those levels.
Select Expand All if you want the hierarchy to be fully expanded by default to it shows all F-F-E-C records.
