

The Zones tab is visible when you are working on a zonal analysis. The commands available in the Zones tab will vary depending on whether you are working with an LHSI project (i.e., a project using one of the MSG-3 guidelines that support identification of L/HIRF Significant Items) or a non-LHSI project (i.e., a project using one of the MSG-3 guidelines that do not support identification of L/HIRF Significant Items).
Add Major Zone(s) opens the Select
Major Zones window where you select which zones to add.
Add Major Sub-Zone(s) opens the
Select Major Sub-Zones window
where you select which sub-zones to include under the major zone that
is currently selected.
Add Zone adds a new zonal item.
Import Zones opens
the Import Zones window
where you can copy items from the current database or from another database
into the current project.
Item Permissions is
available only for secure databases. It allows you to prevent specific
users from editing the item and its related analyses. (See Item
Permissions,)
Attachments allows
you to manage the linked or attached files
for the selected item. This includes any Description
& Operation (D&O) documents that you want to integrate into
generated reports.
Configurable Options
opens the Configurable
Options window where you can customize some of the settings for the
standard zonal, enhanced zonal and L/HIRF analyses that you can perform
in this database.
Status Updates allows
you to record additional information
about the item that can be accessed during the analysis but will not appear
in the report output (e.g., reasons for certain decisions, status of the
analysis, etc.).
History Log is available only if
a history log has been activated at the project level. It opens the Record History Log window for the current
item and displays changes that have been performed for the item.
Save Locator Link creates a link
file (similar to a Windows shortcut) that provides quick access to
a specific item.
Reports allows you
to generate predefined zonal analysis
reports in Microsoft Word.
Custom Reports allows you to generate
predefined reports in Microsoft Word
or Excel for any of the zonal analyses in the current project.
Queries
allows you to search the project or database for the records that meet
your specific query criteria. The results
can be exported to Excel and you also have the option to save and reuse
queries.
Add Standard
Zonal Analysis adds a standard
zonal analysis to the currently selected zone.
Add Enhanced
Zonal Analysis adds an enhanced
zonal analysis to the currently selected zone.
Add L/HIRF
Analysis is available only for non-LHSI projects. It adds a lightning/high intensity
radiated field (L/HIRF) analysis to the currently selected zone.
Delete Analysis deletes
the analysis tab that currently has focus in the Analysis panel. There is no undo for
delete.
These commands are available only for non-LHSI projects.
Add Protection
System adds a new
protection system to the L/HIRF analysis.
Edit Protection
System allows you change the properties of the currently selected
protection system.
Delete Protection
Systems deletes the currently selected protection system. There is no undo for
delete.
Add Task
adds a new zonal analysis task.
Edit Task allows you
to change the properties of the currently selected zonal analysis task.
Delete Task
deletes the currently selected task. There
is no undo for delete.
Transfer Zonal
Candidate Tasks allows you to copy
the properties from existing GVI tasks in the current project that
have been marked as ZIP candidates.
