When you create a custom derating standard, that standard is automatically saved within the database. You can then use the import and export features to create copies of the standard among databases, if desired. To access the import or export windows, open the Manage Custom Derating Standards window, and then click either the Import icon or the Export icon .
What's Changed? In previous versions of the software, you had to export the custom derating standard as an *.lp3ds file before you could import it into another database. The current version eliminates the extra step by allowing you to directly import or export the standard to the selected database.
When you import a custom derating standard, a window appears allowing you to select the source of the imported data. You can select to import from another database (*.rsr9 or *.rserp) or import a derating standard file from a previous version of Lambda Predict (*.lp3ds). Select a source file type and then click the Browse icon in the field to browse for the file.
If you select to import from another database, the next window will display a list of all the custom derating standards available in that database. Select the standard(s) you wish to import and then click Next to complete the import process.
In both cases, a copy of each selected derating standard will be imported and saved within the current database. You can then edit the imported standard by adding new models, as well as editing or deleting existing models. Any changes you make will apply only to the copy of the standard saved with the current database, and will not affect the *.lp3ds files or derating standards saved in other databases.
When you export a custom derating standard for use in another database, a window appears allowing you to select which database to export. Select a destination database from the drop-down list or click the Browse icon in the field to browse for the database.
When you click Next, the window displays a list of the custom derating standards available in the current database. Select the standard(s) you wish to export, and click Next. A copy of each selected derating standard will be exported and saved within the destination database.
